Promoting Hygiene and Sanitation at Johnhill Secondary School through Improved Water Supply and Rainwater Harvesting
Dana, Mahnoor, and Neige, interns from Northwestern University, partnered with Johnhill Secondary School to install a rainwater harvesting plant. This initiative aimed to boost the school’s clean water supply for students and promote good hygiene practices. In addition, the project launched a “wash-friendly” school movement, which fostered open discussions about menstruation among female students.
