About the Project
This internship strengthens FOSCOD’s digital monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) systems to improve data quality, transparency, and shared learning across community pilots and partnerships. Interns will help design practical digital tools that enable grassroots organizations to collect, analyze, and visualize evidence more effectively.
The project is aligned with Uganda’s national frameworks of Digital Uganda Vision (2020–2040) – using ICT for inclusive development, National ICT Policy (2014) – advancing digital systems for governance and service delivery, National M&E Strategy (2018–2023, extended) – promoting results-based monitoring across sectors and Uganda Vision 2040 – positioning ICT as a driver of socio-economic transformation. By contributing to these frameworks, you will be part of Uganda’s digital development agenda while gaining cutting-edge ICT4D experience.
Program Highlights
As a Monitoring, Data & ICT Intern, you will:
- Develop or adapt mobile data-collection tools for field teams.
- Train staff and volunteers in digital data collection and data ethics.
- Help establish a cloud-based MEL database and dashboards.
- Support data visualization of early results for internal and external audiences.
Intern Requirements
We welcome applicants who:
- Have an interest or background in ICT4D, data management, or monitoring & evaluation.
- Are comfortable with spreadsheets and at least one mobile data platform (training provided).
- Demonstrate attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and an eye for visualization.
- Are adaptable and willing to collaborate across field and HQ settings.
