Powering Kyambogo Village

FOSCOD is developing the Kyambogo Solar Hub in Kalagala Parish with Women Rising for Africa to expand reliable clean energy access for local enterprises and community services. The hub is designed to create practical opportunities for women and young people while supporting sustainable livelihoods.

The Kyambogo Solar Hub

Following site assessment and technical planning, the solar-hub container has been purchased and installed in Kyambogo Village. The next phase is to complete the energy system, equip the hub for community use, and track the enterprises and services it supports.

Solar Water Pump

FOSCOD is planning to coonect a Water Pump to the Kyambogo Solar Hub such that can provide/ spply clean safe water to the entire village

Providing Power

We are planning to connect the entire Kyambogo village to a solar power grid, such that we can light the entire village by providing power to the locals, schools and the clinics in the area

Job Creation

The hub will create more employment opportunities to the residnts of Kyambogo village, jobs like solar hub operators, and other more jobs that will be created by the locals due to the presence of affordable clean power

More Hubs

FOSCOD plans to create more solar hubs in all the five villages of Kalagala village, our main goal with the solar project is to see that the entire Kalagala Parish lights up, and also empowering women and Youths in the area
