The project was an educational training program focused on training a group of 30 students to be trainers of trainers of hygiene, sanitation, handwashing, and menstrual health. It included hands-on workshops on Tippy Tap stations and reusable pads.

Through presentations, workshops, and discussions, the project provided students with a comprehensive understanding of these topics. A trainer translated the materials to ensure accessibility and understanding.

The project addressed critical community needs by promoting good health and sanitation, reducing inequalities, and providing menstrual health education. By focusing on hygiene and sanitation, the project helped reduce diarrheal diseases. It also challenged period stigma and supported girls’ education.

Community members will benefit from this project by gaining knowledge from the students and applying it to their daily lives. Students can now teach their families about proper hygiene, sanitation, and menstrual health. They can also construct Tippy Tap stations and make reusable pads for their community.

With FOSCOD’s support, this project has empowered the community to improve their health, well-being, and living conditions.
